Akane Yamaguchi, born on June 6 1997, hails from Katsuyama city of Fukui in Japan. Yamaguchi was World No. 1 two times. Akane Yamaguchi was also part of the Japanese mixed team that won two Silver medals in 2015 and 2019 and a Bronze medal in 2017 the Sudirman Cup. The same year in 2017, Akane won the Gold medal for her national team during the Asian Mixed Team Badminton Championships. Akane was part of the national women’s team, winning 2 Gold medals in 2018 and 2020 at the Asian Team Badminton Championships.

Nelly Korda is a professional USA golf athlete. She plays in the LPGA Tour, where she has won 7 times and reached the top spot in the Women’s World Rankings in golf. Korda won the Olympics gold medal at the women’s golf event in Tokyo, Japan, at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Nelly Korda captured her first major title at the Women’s PGA Championship, winning Olympic gold and ending the year as the top-ranked women’s golfer. Her parents were pro tennis players, and her brother, Sebastian, plays on the ATP Tour. Her older sister, Jessica, is also a successful LPGA Tour golfer.

Nelly Korda was born in Bradenton, California, on July 28, 1998. While growing up, Korda spent summers in the Czech Republic with her family. Her hobbies include tennis and ice hockey; her favorite team is the LA Kings. Korda had an incredibly successful amateur career. She was part of the winning 2015 Junior Solheim Cup team.

Anna Carrasco: Sports – Moto GP, Country – Spain

Anna Carrasco, 17, is the only current female competitor in MotoGP, riding a Kalex KTM in Moto3. Born in Spain, she started riding bikes aged three, competed in the Spanish MiniGP series and hung in the Spanish 125 Championship. Anna debuted on the Team Calvo KTM at the start of 2013, aged 16, and took her first World Championship points in the Malaysian GP later that year. At the last race in Valencia, she finished 8th while teammate Maverick Vinales won the title. So far this season, riding for a new Dutch team, she’s yet to score. Unsurprisingly, her motto is “A woman in a man’s world”.

Ana Carrasco began riding a minibike at three. She succeeded in the domestic junior motorcycle racing categories before becoming the first woman to score points in the FIM CEV Repsol Championship 2011. Carrasco made her Junior World Championship debut in 2012, scoring a best of 7th, before moving to the Moto3 ™ World Championship in 2013. Carrasco became the first woman to score points in the category before a couple of trickery years in 2014, 2015 and 2016. 2017 brought a new, exciting challenge in the form of the new WorldSSP300 series.

A year later, in 2018, Carrasco created history by becoming the first woman to win a motorcycle World Championship. The year 2021 saw Carrasco finish 16th in the WorldSSP300 Championship, and ahead of the 2022 season, she got a late call-up to come back and race in the Moto3 ™ World Championship with BOE SKX. Carrasco performed a series of respectable performances and will remain with the BOE team for 2023.

Diana Lorena Taurasi – a professional basketball player in the United States of America, is one of the greatest basketball legends ever. She plays for the club Phoenix Mercury of the Women’s National Basketball Association and is considered one of the finest female basketball players ever. She was considered by Phoenix first overall in the 2004 WNBA draft. Taurasi was a US women’s U18 team member who grabbed the gold medal at the FIBA Americas Championship held in Mar-Del-Plata, Argentina. Eri Yoshida: Sports – Baseball, Country Japan & USA

Eri Yoshida is a Japanese professional baseball player. She plays as a sidearm knuckleball pitcher. In 2008, at 16,  Eri became the first woman on a Japanese men’s professional baseball team drafted. Yoshida started her season in 2011 with an amateur team from Japan that has to play in Southern California. She has to sign a contract with the club Chico Outlaws of the professional North American Baseball League in July of 2011, winning against the Edmonton Capitals.

She was traded later to Maui, rejoining her manager from last year, Garry Templeton. In a match held on August 9, Eri pitched 5 innings to a one-hit ball and later picked up her 1st professional win in the US with Maui defeating Edmonton Capitals 4 to 1. In 2012, she returned to her native land Japan to play for the team Hyogo Blue Sandars of the Kansai Independent Baseball League.

On May 3, 2012, Eri Yoshida made her first start of the year for Hyogo Blue. She launched five innings and gave just one run, walking 1 while striking out 2. Eri earned the winning badge, making her the first woman ever to win a game in the Kansai Independent League. Yoshida won her next two to begin the year with a 3– 0 record, but later on, she experienced problems controlling her pitches in her career and lost five games in a row.
